Umadevi A/P A Muthukumaru Hospital Pulau Pinang

Dr Umadevi graduated from University of Malaya in 1994 and worked as a general physician from 2002 after obtaining MRCP (UK) and Masters in Internal Medicine (University Sains Malaysia). Later, she completed Respiratory Training in the Institute of Respiratory Medicine Malaysia and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth Australia in 2007. She is interested in the many aspects of respiratory medicine including tuberculosis, respiratory sleep disorders and non-invasive ventilation as well as lung cancer. Currently she is working as a Consultant in Respiratory and Internal Medicine Physician in Penang General Hospital. She is also a lecturer in Penang Medical College, appointed as the National Respiratory Subspecialty Evaluation Committee and Chair of the National Respiratory Subspecialty Exam Committee. Has been involved as a Principal and Co investigator for many international studies on asthma and COPD.
