Rosmadi Ismail Sunway Medical Center

Dr Rosmadi Ismail obtained his undergraduate medical degree from Dalhousie University, Canada. Upon completion his medical degree, he trained in general medicine in various Ministry of Health (MOH) hospitals before joining National University of Malaysia for Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine from year 2007 to 2011. Following successful completion of his MMED program and posting at various MOH facilities as general physician, he subsequently pursued his fellowship in respiratory medicine under MOH from 2013 to 2016. He received extensive training in both general respiratory medicine and interventional pulmonology, locally and internationally. Dr. Rosmadi has special interests in interventional pulmonology, early diagnosis of lung cancer, staging of lung cancer, treatment of airway obstruction due to cancers and benign disorders, bronchoscopic lung volume reduction (BLVR), malignant pleural effusion. His special expertise are in advanced pulmonology related procedures involving bronchoscopy, pleuroscopy, advanced bronchoscopic procedures such as EBUS-TBNA and electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy, central airway stent and various techniques of BLVR. He continues to work with various companies to bring in newer technology and methods for the benefit of his patient.
