Martina Koziar Vasakova Thomayer University Hospital

Martina Koziar Vasakova is specialized in Pulmonology and Allergology + Clinical immunology and has a licence in Interventional bronchology. She is head of the Department of Respiratory Medicine of the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and University Thomayer Hospital Prague, the President of the Czech Pneumological Society and also Member of the Collegium of Dean and Scientific board of the First Medical Faculty. She reached PhD degree in Immunology and is member of Council of Immunology of Charles University. Her main scientific interests are immunopathology of respiratory diseases. She leads International Registry of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis – EMPIRE. She is active member of European Respiratory Society and Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and WASOG. She was employed for one year until april 2022 as the first Deputy of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic. She is scientific leader of the Lung cancer screening programme in the Czech Republic.
